Free virtual sourdough seminar — logic from starter to first loaf, then a short DoughPilot walkthrough.
Taught by Gerard, a Sharon home baker who loves helping people succeed at sourdough — not just collect recipes.
When & how to join
Friday, June 26, 2026 · 2:00–3:30 PM EDT
Online livestream
Virtual session — we'll email the join link before we start (platform TBD; likely Microsoft Teams or similar).
You'll learn
- How to read starter strength (not just bubbles)
- After the 10-day build: discard, fridge, revive
- When bulk is done: rise, feel, and temperature
- Final proof signals (shape, jiggle — not only the clock)
- What flat, gummy, or tunnel crumb usually means
- Short app walkthrough for home (free tier + optional paid plans)
We won't
- Live baking or shaping demo
- Recipe worship or fixed hour counts
- Photo-only “AI scores” without rise % and time
You bake at home. This talk teaches what to look for — DoughPilot is optional guidance at the counter.
About the app (honest tiers)
The seminar is free. DoughPilot is free to start: 10-day starter build, first-loaf guide, and limited monthly Ask / diagnose / starter tests — no credit card to sign up. Optional paid plans ($4.99–7.99/mo) add a guided bake schedule and desk tools. Nothing is hidden on the site.
