Who we are

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication data through Supabase (our auth and database provider). We store your subscription plan and Stripe customer identifiers so billing and feature access work correctly.

Baking and app usage data

You may enter starter tests, bake plans, fermentation notes, and related baking inputs. Some data is stored in your browser (local storage) for speed and offline-style persistence; account-linked data may be stored in our cloud database when you are signed in.

Payment information

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. Stripe collects payment details, billing address where required, and tax-related information according to their policies.

Contact messages

If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email, subject, and message. Messages are delivered via Resend to our support inbox.

Technical data

Like most web services, our hosting provider (Vercel) and related infrastructure may process standard log data such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps for security, performance, and reliability.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Authenticate you and enforce plan limits and paid features
• Process subscriptions, upgrades, and billing through Stripe
• Calculate and collect applicable sales tax where required
• Respond to support requests and feedback
• Protect against abuse, fraud, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service:

• Supabase — authentication and profile storage
• Stripe — payments, subscriptions, and tax calculation
• Vercel — hosting and delivery of the application
• Resend — delivery of contact form email

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger), subject to applicable law.

Data retention

We keep account and billing-related records as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; some records may be retained where we are legally required to keep them (for example, payment records handled by Stripe).

Your choices

• Update account details through the Service where available
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through the Stripe billing portal linked from your account
• Clear browser local storage from your device settings (this may remove unsynced local app data)
• Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to legal limits

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Security

We use industry-standard providers and reasonable technical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
